Car Leasing - Agreement Terms

Hi,

I've ordered a new lease car and had the lease agreement come through but spotted a couple of terms that give me cause for concern and I'm not unsure if I understand correctly:

1) XXXX Leasing may vary at any time and by giving not less than 30 days written notice to the customer - the excess mileage charges payable by the customer.

The agreement states an excess mileage charge of 4.55p. Does this mean they could theoretically whack it up to a £1 a few months before the end of the agreement and I wouldn't have a leg to stand on?

2) At the option of XXXX Leasing, the vehicle may be replaced at any time by another one of similar age and condition.

It omits the words 'vehicle model.' Does this theoretically mean they could replace my car with a different/lesser/cheaper model at any time?

Any one know if these are industry standard terms? Appreciate they are covering their own backs and probably unlikely they would trigger them, but it doesn't appear to give me much protection.

Any guidance on whether ok to proceed with agreement would be appreciated as I would be disappointed if it fell through as its a stonking good deal.

Thanks

The mileage may change by a small amount but it wont shoot upto £1.
You could probably cancel the contract if it was going to make you suffer in any serious amount.

Also they warn you in advance so you could pobably pay for any excess at the lower rate anyway.

Change the car. Lower value maybe. age and condition.. I guess it covers the issue if your model of car suddenly starts to fail in large numbers and they need to get shut of them or a major recall.
It should fit the bill for what you chose though. If you had a large executive car and they want to give you a 2 seater smart or similar then no.
