The other option from fueldirect is to get a pp meter installed. The Home energy care team can arrange for the meter to be moved so that you are able to top it up. If you were using £200 on a prepayment meter I am surprised you set a payment plan up for £33 per month though.
I think you need to talk to the Energy Efficiency team also to see why so much gas is being used. As said previously if you think the meter is faulty it can be tested ( and most times they are not). The charge is there for that very reason as it is costly to take a meter away to test but if it is not found to be faulty you are not charged.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0 -

Joyful - that £200 was in mid winter when it -13 outside the rest of the time it was alot lower and the lady I spoke to said she had looked at what i had used previously on a prepayment meter the last year. So I took it that it was correct.
I would like to say thank you to all who replied, I'll take points onboard. But I am disabled I have a condition that had left me with a cognitive dysfunction and so therefore it takes me time to sort these things out. I'm going to call BG again and I'm hoping they will help me a little better this time.
As for the electricity I will sort that once the gas has been dealt with. Even though I've tried 4 times now to get them to deal with it. I have some money put aside for it but I wouldnt know where to start to find out how much I owe on it as they wouldnt give me a price because its in credit.
I have been keeping up a payment of £100 a month even though it eats into my carers money. Not by much but it does.
If all else fails I'm going to call the CAB.
thanks again0
