in Credit cards
Hi MSErs,
As a credit card newbie (I haven't had one in UK before, but have overseas) I wondered if someone could tell me this is a legitimate moneysaving method --
1. Get Cashback Card (with high cashback)
2. Get Balance Transfer Card (with low BT charge)
3. Make initial big purchases (inside bonus cashback window, eg. 3months at higher cashback rate, ie. 5-6%) -- I would like to get a London 1yr Travelcard for example at £1200ish
4. Do a balance transfer on to the Cashback card.
[ would you do a lump sum transfer or transfer each month? I've read a little about stoozing too]
I will be self-employed too so I am guessing this can also be claimed as a business expense, although I am not sure how the personal credit card vs business expense works. I'm no accountant.
thanks to anyone with any tips or advice.
Cheers!

You transfer the balance from the Cashback card, not to/on it.
This is legitimate, but if you didn't have any CCs in UK you are unlikely to get 0% and a 'big' balance.
Aqua Rewards is worth trying for cashback, but the limit will be very small.0 -
Thanks for the tip. I'm getting the hang of this0
