Graduate credit card before start grad job

Right, I have an offer for a job which I accepted and I hope all goes to plan.
So my problem is I want a graduate credit card for the time when I start my new job. The salary is very good in the £30s. How easy will it be to get a graduate credit card?
By then I will have started my job and I already have a £2k overdraft and a £500 student credit card.
I will most likely apply for a credit card say either once I started working or a month after I get my first pay cheque.
Or could I get a credit card before I start working, say when I have graduated? I have my job contract and what not.
Thanks. Yes I may sound stupid getting into debt even before I started working, but hey the salary is good. Should not be a problem !

If the salary is good clear the overdraft and the card you already have first instead of racking more debt up.
This will help to get a better card later.0 -
Guess I shall do that. I have an overdraft but am I net positive i.e. money in the saving accounts which covers the overdraft!0

Well, unless the overdraft is free it makes no sense to have savings and not to use them to pay it off.
If it is free, pay the CC off, then wait until you start working and can declare your annual income, then apply for some cashback card, say, Aqua Reward that pays you 3% for using it.0 -
Well I have £4000 in savings and am -£1900 in my interest free overdraft. With that 4k in the isa I get 8 quid a month. So is not a problem.
I just need money when i start working so I don't have to take the train and save money by buying a car.0 -
