I could not find anything alike and I made myself a spreadsheet that calculates income tax and National Insurance and is adaptable with overtime and other additional payments.

I know there are tons of sites that do this for you but you can integrate this with your existing spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is very simple, just fill in the annual salary and see the result. Make sure that the cells in grey are correct for your personal situation. Do not change the other boxes, all you need to do is change the grey cells.

Not sure if this is the right forum but I wanted to share it and this part of the forum seems the best place.

I make different hours of overtime every month and I simply sum up the gross numbers and multiply it by 12. I have a small field where I put in my base salary, overtime, callouts etc and the numbers are summed up in C29. I then add =C29*12 to see how much I will get.

If you have any questions just ask.

You can find it here: sdrv.ms/10PIn6Q

No offense, Mentox, it's probably well-meant but people should think twice before they download a spreadsheet advertised on an internet forum by a relative newbie.

There are a number of web-based calculators: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=tax+and+ni+calculator&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

I do mean it well and as I couldn't find it on the internet I wanted to share it for others.

I know there are quite a few sites that can do it but this is an Excel version that can be integrated with existing budget sheets etc.

Yes and as its an excel spreadsheet it can also run scripts which can be harmful to your computer too. Many use this to place viruses and malwear onto computers.

As Innovate says I'd be very wary of a newbie trying to get others to download there spreadsheet!!!

    1. It is stored on Skydrive which is from Microsoft, they do scan the content.
    2. Excel 2007 and above block scripts from running. The user needs to give permission first.
    3. You should have anti-virus installed on your PC.

Yes I am a newbie on this forum and all I wanted was to share my creation with others to help them :(

1 Stored on Skydrive and they scan it ( Yes they scan to see if the file has a virus, they don't check to see if it runs malicious scripts)

    2. Yes you do have to give permission to run scripts, however most people will just accept them as they don't know what they do.

    3. Yes people do have anti-virus / Malwear installed, yet there are people who still don't/

It may have been a good idea of yours, however I would still be wary of downloading something someone created and posted it on a forum no matter how long they had been on the site.

Someone new would make me even more wary of downloading it.
