Cheap F1 Tickets - Up to 25% off handling fees

Options
Hi everyone,

Just booked my F1 tickets for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in November from DiscoverGrandPrix.com.

They promise the cheapest tickets on the web, with a 25% sale on the handling fees. I did a bit of research and it seems to be true. Although the ticket prices are pretty much the same everywhere (think they have to charge the standard cover price), the difference in the handling fee can make a big difference.

And the handling fee includes 100% financial protection, which is unique as far as I can tell (bought my tickets from Simply the Ticket last year, who then went bust, and I lost out, won't make that mistake again).

Hope that helps someone.

  • Hi again, Just an update on this post. A friend of mine bought from the site but his internet kicked him out before he was able to finish buying the tickets.

Before he had chance to go back in and try again, he'd been sent an email offering him an extra £5 off.

His theory is that the website thought he'd abandoned his purchase and had automatically sent him this email to tempt him back. So maybe worth trying, get as far as the payment page, then leave the website, then wait for your £5 off voucher.

A little extra discount never hurts.
  • Sounds good Ted. Looking at doing this or the Indian one.

    What price were your flights?
  • Hi BaggieBoy. I got my flight through Discover Grand Prix too. It was £621, very reasonable I thought. It's not the cheapest flight in the world, but I couldn't find any cheaper to Abu Dhabi. They explained that I was free to look elsewhere, but an advantage of getting it all under one roof is that it means everything in the package, including the ticket, is covered by ATOL.

They can do accommodation and transfers too, although my friend and I are staying at my Uncle's so I didn't need it. They've got packages available online that include accommodation, but I found they were happy to work with me to build an individual package, with no extra premium.

I thought it was a really good service.
  • PS They don't have India advertised, but I'm sure if you call them they'd be able to sort it out. They were really accommodating for me. If all goes well I'll definitely do something with them again next year. I like the idea of India myself, so let me know if you have any luck with that.

Hi Dogger69. Who's advertising what? I booked packages through several different companies over the years and noticed these one were new on google this year. As far as I know they are brand new (although they make out they're quite established, who knows). Anyway, I thought I'd take a gamble with them based on their discount, and I've been really pleased with the service so far so I'm happy to spread the word for them. Every new company needs a few advocates.

Sorry, but bought before, got stung before and now you are advocating a start up?

    Not buying it...(or tickets)

Hi Visidigi. Have you bought from Discover Grand Prix? I haven't actually received my tickets yet, so that's a bit worrying. How were you stung?

They seem like they know what they're doing, so I'm happy to recommend them based on the service so far, but of course I'll give a full report after the Grand Prix. The proof of the pudding. I'd be interested to hear how you found it.

Or is it just start ups in generally. I'm always happy to give start ups a shot. Can't say I've not been stung, but everyone's got to start somewhere, and I've had some cracking deals from start ups in the past, always worth looking our for.
