    The PSRs allow them to refund the next working day, if the matter is raised towards the end of a bank working day.

    A quick update: Last week I phoned the bank and they did not understand the DD guarantee but I did receive an £80 good will gesture payment. Today I went into my local branch and explained my situation, the girl seemed to understand and agreed with what I was saying until she asked conformation from her bank manager. I was then told I would need to contact the other company and ask them to refund me instead. I told her I have been passed around enough times in the last few weeks and she suggested I call the dispute team.
    Let’s see what happens now.
