Money saving advice for a guy and his girlfriend, who is a full-time student

My partner and I are moving in together in June, we already understand that we are eligible for a 25% council tax reduction.
Does anybody have any other advice that could help us out in our situation?
Thanks

Are you both full time students? If not I don't think you'll get the 25% reduction on your council tax, I could be wrong though!0

I am a full time student and partner working full time - we get the 25% discount.
The way it works is..
1. Person living on own has 25% sole occupier discount
2. Another person moves in, sole occupier discount no longer available BUT...
3. it gets replaced with full time student 25% off council tax - so you're in the same situation as before!0 -
Thanks for the advice and yes i work full-time0

Some other advice, if you don't mind - check out every option for cash, loans and grants that are available, depending on what type of course she's on.
There's a thing called the Access to Learning fund, that can pay cash, with no repayment for things like course materials, but can also help towards transport, gas and electric bills etc.

there's this great thread on the student board about the access to learning fund:

well worth a read (it's long but has all the info you could ever need!)!
is your girlfriend an undergrad or postgrad student?:happyhear0 -
Cook all your meals from scratch, and eat mainly vege food, and your food bill will be £20 a week!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
