What screws needed to attach 40mm fan to heatsink

i bought some case fan mounting screws and they are all too big to mount my 40mm fan on my heat sink..


what screws do i need to buy to do this... is there a specific name for them?

    just use self tappers into the HS.
    or use those plastic wire ties thingys.

    This isn't meant to sound sarcastic but what size are the holes? Usually the terminology for screws is something like M2 x 3 which would mean 2 mm diameter and 3 mm long.

    usually you but the complete heatsink with fan as one unit...
