Solicitors not kept to agreement. Im penalised? HELP

    The funds should still then be in your account, so I don't understand why you can't just pay the lump sum?

    I don't understand what is happening here.

    You are asking the lender's solicitor to set up a system to take payments? How?

    Only the lender itself can alter its direct debit to take more and if you wanted a standing order to make payments over and above the contractual amount, that would be for you to arrange with your bank.

    Would you be kind enough to clarify what is happening here, as this sounds very odd and I haven't come across it in my 28 years in the business.

    Solicitors don't set up & operate DDs, irrespective of who they act for.

    I suspect you may have misunderstood who was doing what?
