Post Office car ins >50s cashback

Hi all

Can anyone advise me about the PO car ins deal for over 50s? Their website says, "We guarantee to beat your car insurance renewal quote by at least £50"

My renewal from CSIS was £376.75 and the PO quote was £518.00. The impression is that if I accept the policy and then send them my old renewal notice, they will pay me back £141.25 + £50 = £191.25, meaning that my ins will have cost me £326.75.

Have I got this right?

Happy to hear back from anyone with experience or understanding of this.

Regards

If we’re happy that our policy is on a like-for-like basis with your existing insurance, we’ll pay you back the difference plus £50.

Make very sure of this or the coming year will cost you £518.

Except they may say we cannot beat that or we cannot offer a quote that is teh same as you have.
