EA Feedback

We have been following your pages for weeks, and the advice, support is superb. We have learned alot from you guys. Our only question is this.
We got 4 independent valuations done to our property, from this and reading your posts we advised 1 EA to to the sale. At this point we forgot there was 1 more valuation to be done, what a shocker it was.
He undervalued our property, and that was based on current sales in our street, area. We spent quite a bit of cash doing the house up aswell before he done valuation.
But my major gripe with this company is this, he said if it sold for more than his valuation, he would pay for a meal for two, if it went for more than that he would pay for a bottle of bubbly too.
Should he be struck off, or is their a legal process we can do him for, anything would be nice to make us feel better.

thanks in advance of any advice

what's the problem, he made a tongue in cheek remark?
you're not happy with the valuation, so you're not using him i presume?
more importantly why are there no photos of the inside of your place?0 -

Sounds like he knows the market. Are you sure the others didn't overvalue?:D0 -
he made a crap remark, a crap offer, hes crap as a EA. Not using their firm. The firm that are doing the sale are organising the photos this week.
Thought I might have got more feedback on the fact of his cheeky comment that he would pay for a meal, and champers. His valuation is 80k, if it went for 85k, he would buy meal, more than that he would pay for champers.0 -
yeah he made a cheeky remark so what though?
was he serious, could you proove he said this, alot of stress for nothing.
out of interest though, if it does only sell for £80k will you buy him a meal for 2 or if under £80k will you throw in a bottle of bubbly as well?
as with most EAs he was probably full of it, being a cheeky chappy.
and if you had gone with him the other EAs would've said, he just wants a quick sale, yet he probably said that they just want you on their books, swings & roundabouts no harm done either.

This is why you get a few ea in the give you their opinion.
You go with the one you trust and ditch the wide boys.
You are not using his service so forget about him.
Moving is stressful enough without adding to it with nonsense about legal processess for flippant remarks.0 -
thanks for answers, just a tad wee bit stressed with house selling, thought buying was stressful. but i feel better i had a vodka induced sleep, and not going to worry about EAs like him. Hope to get a sale soon. Cheers :beer:0

Dont see the problem really. Make sure to take him up on his prize if you sell it over the price

I'm not entirely sure you've picked the right agent this time. It looks like any other terraced house
Where are the internal shots? Your EA need to show what makes yours different from the rest! What are you paying them for!? Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

thanks dozzergirl, kept forgetting to arrange EA to call for photo shoot. just off the phone, someone on their way today. So hopefully it will be done this week. I do think however I have picked the right EA, the others we had value the house were a bit uninsterested. Cant think of the right words to describe them really, however the EA we are using are very professional, had contact on progress of paperwork, searches, deeds etc every day last week. Just need a buyer now.0
