Which movie editing software.

Although I've shot a fare amount of video I've never got round to editing it and burning DVDs.
I played around with movie maker but it has no built in DVD authoring software built in, also an early version of U-Lead.
what's the recommended editor that's easy to use and that's not too expensive.

When I was searching for a Editing program the 2 Highly recommended editing programs in most reviews were:

Sony Vegas Movie+DVD and Adobe Premiere Elements

You can download free trials of both. Adobe free trial even lets you burn to DVD and is easy to use the sony one doesnt.

I agree. Premier is about as good as movie editing gets (although the full version is a stack better if you're willing to shell out some more muuuulah)

It's intuitive too, so you wont need to read up too much to make something look good.
