Lidl m***a again (may be)

Hi there, I was stung by the Lidl m***a back in December and followed all the advice on this forum. Ignored the letters; the last one was a Final Demand at the end of Jan and have heard nothing since. Unfortunately, this afternoon, I may have incurred the wrath of the Lidl m***a again, (I know, how stupid can I be?), this time only by a couple of minutes. Time will tell! My wife is now paranoid that I will get another demand, and with a record of ignoring the previous one, they will send the bailiffs, cops, sheriff and friendly men with sledge hammers around, demanding double payment plus a pound of flesh. In reality, what is likely to happen? Thanks, Rekusu

Bailiffs cannot call around without it going to the small claims and them winning, a scenario that is so not going to happen. Don't confuse debt collectors with bailiffs they are two very different animals.

What you need to do is one of these, but ensure you complain like hell to Lidl

    1) pay them
    2) appeal (if Englad or Wales) and the company is in this AOS , when they turn your appeal down go to Popla
    3) ignore them completely

I don't recommend the first one obviously, two is good if you are militant and can spend some time on this. Three is good if you can cope with ignoring
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

LOL! No-one can just send the boys round if a debt is alleged - think about it!

Thanks for the replies and I'm not concerned about the boys being send around. I just wondered what the situation is when I have two 'violations' at the same car park over a period of 4 months. Obviously, I'm I'm a serial parking violator! Will they get ultra-heavy because of my 'serial violations?' or just the normal threats which I will ignore. Rekusu

Nothing at all is different. They can't get heavy, can't clamp, can't threaten, can't box your car in, can't force you to pay at all.

I would COMPLAIN to the Lidl Store Manager.

If you need longer to park because of a medical condition, or an elderly passenger, or a disabled passenger, then demand your car is put on a 'white list' like the employees' cars may be (they'd pretty much have to do this if there is any disability or long term medical condition as they cannot allow the agent to keep harassing you if that's the case). You are allowed to ask for a reasonable adjustment if there is any medical or age-related issue that means you need longer to park there than other people.

Even if that doesn't apply to you, still COMPLAIN to Lidl in no uncertain terms!
