transfer money Canada -> UK

Hi, sorry if I'm not posting in the right section. I have a bank account in Canada (in Canadian dollars) and I would like to transfer some money to my UK bank account.
Can anyone recommend a currency broker company based in UK? From what I understand they have exchange rates better than banks and low (or 0?) commission. My bank in Canada will charge me a fee for the bank transfer (hopefully it's not a percentage of the amount but rather flat fee -does anyone know that?)
Thanks!

Definitely avoid using your bank as the rate wont be very good (also the annoying thing with the banks are that they will convert the funds to Sterling without letting you know the rate beforehand, so you wont know what rate has been applied until after the transaction has been done). The Canadian bank might charge you a fee for transferring the Canadian Dollars, usually a flat fee in the region of $20-$40 dollars.0
