Vista premium or basic?

I think I'm going to get the dell 6400 but is it worth the extra £24 to upgrade to home premium?

Thanks... if the basic version is similar to xp home I think that will be fine for me

I think you'll find that the links millionaire provided advise you NOT to go with Vista Basic - you should pay for Vista Home Premium.

Personally for 24 quid it's a no brainer - go home premium.

Also, to add some flesh to that logic - if you decided to go with Basic and found it wasn't suitable the same upgrade would cost you £82 any other time.

Home Premium all day long. Home basic only exists to keep the Eurocrats happy and calm their lawyers down a bit.

I use Home Basic which is fine, but for that money he/she's spot on...upgrade.
