The fact he is in your life (whether or not permanently), affects your finances, so needs to be taken into consideration.

BTW. Do you not qualify for Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit?
  • Yes, hence the £438 in the - other income part of my soa like I had explained above. And my council tax rate is reduced so I have to pay £20.

  • Hi, a couple of thoughts on your SOA:

    - Your water rates seem high (£42)
    - Do you need to pay for the landline if it isn't working?

Also, I don't know what you can earn yourself without affecting your benefits, but you might want to look at Lionbridge work-from-home opportinities such as this one: http://www.thesmartcrowd.com/workers/job-opportunities/job/internet-content-judge-uk/?origin=20

I did this for a while and dropped out as I struggled with a FT job as well, but might be ideal for you.

    Good luck!

  • Thanks tintingirl, is that a real work from home one then not one of the con ones.
Water rates have always been that high since the day I moved in. Just sort of got used to it. Also as it Virgin that it's with if I didn't have the landline the package would be more expensive. Don't know why but there you go.
