I've done quite a bit of research and it appears so far that BR is the most likely option I will be recommened by Step Change on Tuesday. Do I stop paying all the rest of the creditors now other than Child Tax Creds before I have my telephone appt. with step change or wait? I do not currently have a payment plan set up with Npower mainly due to a grudge I hold with them after being told countless times for 4 years that I was paying off the money that I owed them within my monthly direct debit to then and finding out after moving to my new house that not even a penny has been paid off of it. I had literally called on about 20 different occasions to ensure it was being paid and told every time it was but still kept receiving red letters.
Also if BR is the best option am I able to open a Post Office account now to have my benefits paid into before I start the proceedings? And then wait till after it has been filed to apply for a Barclays Cash Card account?
  • Anyone? Would appreciate the advice as 2 of the credit card bills are due to come out via DD on Thursday and if I'd be better putting the money aside I would prefer to do this.
  • Partners been applying over and over but difficult due to no qualifications

    Have you considered Security Work?

I know the hours are long (most shifts are 12 hours) and unsociable (nights and weekends), but needs must when the devil drives.

Getting an SIA licence actually costs a fair bit
    LBM.....sometime in 2013 £27,056. 10 creditors
June 20.....£7,587.....3 creditors left 72% paid

£26,200 on interest only part of mortgage (July 16)...will chip away £17,103
    £49,200 repayment mortgage ( July 16) £37,764
  • He is a mechanic at heart just really hard getting a garage to take him on without qualifications. He's been to so many interviews only to be told he needs the paperwork. He's just finished completely rebuilding the engine on a Mitsubishi Evolution IV if any of you are car enthusiasts you probably know what a task that is, anyway just to give you a rough idea of what he can do.

Can he not do a course at the college to get at least some of the paperwork. When I was newly divorced, on benefits with young kids I got the college course paid for. Not sure if that funding is still available though but might be worth looking into
