Hi everyone, you're all doing fantastically well - yay.

My total is up to £19.31 so on track for my target. I could have kicked myself yesterday though as we went to Tesco and I forgot about my £5 voucher - grrrr. DH was paying but even so it would have been another fiver saved. I'll check the date and maybe get a smaller shop done. I need to buy food for a homeless charity I support so I think I'll buy £15 worth of food instead of the usual £10. I won't be saving anything myself I know but I am happy for those less fortunate to benefit on this occasion.

    Great work everybody!

  • Oh how exciting that you are so close to the end!!!!

    Thanks fairyclicks :)

The past five years have been hard-work but worth it. We are enjoying seeing the end within our grasp :)
  • Hi I found this quite interesting, I started looking at my own finances recently (i'm an accountant) and how much I could save, making your own lunch is a good idea. I used to spend around £4-£5 a day on this so if you tot this all up and use the money to pay off chunks of credit cards/mortgages you save even more than that.

I also started looking into all these ways people say you can earn money online, just to use as pocket money really. There are so many that don't work, i've never really found a survey website that was worth while too be honest.

I came accross this site - YOU WILL UNFTUNTEY HAVE TO MESSAGE ME FOR A LINK AS I AM NEW USER

Basically you get discounts on things you would buy, BUT most importantly you also get FREE CASH that's right FREE CASH for example for just ordering sim cards that cost you nothing and you get say £10 in your bank account. I also liked if I signed upto a bingo site and paid £10, I got cashback of £25, plus £30 credit, so in cash terms I was up by £15 and then also had £30 credit to play with. I managed to win about £15 so this added to my profits. To date I have earnt £105 in 3 weeks. With only laying out £10.

    Hi everyone :)

I am now up to £26.81 so I'm still a little in front :T

I checked my mortgage account today and finally Halifax have got my info on there - yippee at last I can see what's happening! I had to set up a new standing order and was wondering if it had gone to the right place but yes it seems to have gone OK.

I am trying to make a start on some home improvements and I have a looong list :rotfl:The main thing will be to get a new boiler installed so I can get rid of this ugly gas fire and back boiler :j

Hope everyone else is doing well xx

Oh i have been working hard on ebaying and even managed a car boot sale yesterday - have raised roughly £100 from those the past few days :) I can't put it all towards OP but am adding £10 to the pot from it :)

That means i am now at £60.38 for the OP pot - thats nearly double what i was expecting to be able to pay off it this month :) how are the rest of you guys getting on?

    Hi fairyclicks

    I'm up to £30.45 so £10.05 to go :j

This sees me 1.5 days ahead of target and if I take my own breakfast and lunch to work next week then I will have £2.05 to find from other savings.

It will be May before we know it!

That's £30 paid in as an OP with an extra £25 on top of it. Not as much as I was hoping for this month but better than nothing. :)

Wow well done fairyclicks! That's a great achievement. Have had a few busy weeks at work so haven't managed to get on here but i've had a couple of 'freebie' lunches at work saving me £4ish so that brings my total up to £74.70. Like you, I can't believe how much this has all added up to! :)
