Why don't you ask some black people? Is it taboo? They'd say no - unless it was a white person calling them it. Inverse racism hypocrisy perhaps?
Oh man, you're arguments are so tired.

The small section of black people who use that term about themselves is limited.

I call myself blckbrd - blackbird - I am black, I am female, I sing, I'm from east London.

I may choose to define myself as I please. Others may not choose to define me according to their prejudices without comment.

AFAIC inverse racism doesn't exist. Racism is about the power/ ability to disadvanage behind the bogtory.

I would never deny bigotry amongst black people. What I would deny is the ability to effect change or cause detriment because of those bigotries. Being born and bred in Britain that is a white preserve. Having said that, my children are mixed race and the discussion around the invisibility of their 'whiteness' has always ben a source of contention.
Opinion, advice and information are different things. Don't be surprised if you receive all 3 in response. :D

"If someone was disabled (not a retard as you like to call them) and you called them a retard (or even used the word and they indirectly overheard it) and they complained then you would be finding yourself on the end of a gross misconduct just like the OP. "
No I wouldn't, owners and employees all have a sense of humour, besides, they wouldn't employ anybody if they thought they were a retard.
And as for "another one who doesn't get it"
Of course I get it, whether I care or not is another matter!

OK, but hollywood seems to use it a lot. Much of the english speaking planet gets much of their language from american film.

I was trying to make a point over the use of a single word - and others that used to be offensive but aren't deemed as such these days by those in power!

Wow, this thread is on a roller coaster :)

So not only are you an idiot, but it appears that you work for a company that openly flouts discrimination laws.

Do they also not employ anyone who is not white and hetrosexual?

I was going to ask you who you worked for - but it's obvious that your compNY'S owner is Adolf Hitler.

But in this case, it would appear to be an accurate analogy.

Accurate analogy - yet Hitler is dead? But aside from that, my comment wasn't meant to be taken that seriously :)
