Business or Domestic

My husband collected me from the airport the other day when i returned from a business trip. As I was not paid for that particular day and am not claiming overtime or travel time. Would the car journey be classed as social, domestic or pleasure by the car insurance company?

Unless your husband is connected to the company too then I cannot see any strength in an argument that it is business use and so would come under SDP. Even if he was connected it is highly unlikely it would be considered business unless the company had asked him to collect his colleague from the airport.
I assume you arent claiming business mileage for the car trip? If you are that evidently complicates matters0 -
Well yes, i was going to claim the mileage.0

If you are claiming money as business mileage you are on thin ice to then tell your insurers that it isnt business mileage.
Class 2 business use (Insured & spouse) is normally cheap or free (though adding it mid term may attract an admin fee)0
