the first page has a TON of advice, but my suggestion would be to make use of free eBay listing this weekend, so get things together, start photographing and weighing them to work out the postage.

Make sure you're signed up to every site you see mentioned here - surveys, etc.

    I'll PM you too :)

Oh boy, I am tired and I am busy! Not sure how much I've caught up here, so here's a run down.

Firstly, my blog's domain went 'live' last night. I've set it up to have a Facebook and Twitter account too, and I received 58 unique views last night. I'm really excited about that! I've built up a little following over the past two years so it is nice to grow up a bit, move away from Blogger. Any money wise, more visitors hopefully means more referrals too. I've also scheduled a few posts whilst I was 'in the zone'.

I downloaded the Aviva Drive app - first 1,500 people to drive 200 miles get a £20 M&S voucher. Since I drive 50+ miles to work and back daily I thought there's no harm doing it. No idea if I'm in the first 1,500 but it isn't hurting!

We did a bootsale at the weekend and made £50.20. I'm thrilled with that because it was a very slow start. I took my jewellery making supplies along and made about £25 from what I sold. I can't add this money to my total as it is going straight to vets fees (don't tell the kittens though). We're doing TWO bootsales this weekend and I've asked my Dad to come along to one of them with us, with his car and more stuff, really hoping to make £150 over the two days so the kittens' first vet visit is paid for. I sat last night sorting out the dregs of my jewellery making stuff - possibly finish that tonight after sourcing more treasures from my Dad's shed for the bootsale.

eBay is so slow. I think I've made about £25 after profit this time round. Almost tempted to take a break in May, just relist items, as I mentioned, I'm so tired and drained!

I've got about 195,945,856,193 things floating around my head at the moment. The new job is great and stress free, but I get home late (for me) and there just aren't enough hours. I've got lists everywhere and I'm thinking it might be a good idea to take a rest from some things next month. I've also got my tribunal to prepare for which is probably the biggie, but then lots of smaller things I need to sort. My boyfriend is great, as he isn't working he's going to the post office for me, cleaning the house and there's a meal prepared when I get home. Long term I need him to be doing research for my blog and listing my eBay items, but I haven't had a chance to sit down and explain it all to him. Stress stress stress.

    Hiya :)

I only started half way through this month - complete newbie like you. I spent the first hour browsing through this thread, there's some really good ideas, quite a variety. I found the following worked best for me:

-Taking one room at a time and seeing how many items I could sell either on ebay (free listing this weekend), amazon trade-in, FB selling pages or gumtree
    - signing up to as many survey sites as I can (use the 'up my income' part of the site and also there's a few good ones mentioned in this thread)
    - Food cupboard challenge - my biggest so far, go through your cupboards, fridge, freezer etc and make a list of EVERYTHING you have, and write a list of what to eat for the week and only buy what you need to save money shopping
    - sign up to quidco and or topcashback and do all the 'freebies' if you don't need anything else

Those are just a few, like I say the rest of these guys are experts and I am sure they will give you helpful tips. The best tip is to come on here as much as poss as updating other people motivates yourself plus the lovely people on here are always giving me knew ideas :)

    Good Luck x:j

Whoop - just got my first payout from ipsos, joined at the start of March and reached £10 today so I'm pleased.

Also extra good as my amazon trade in came in yesterday so have chosen the amazon vouchers as my payout, meaning I can get my pedometer and also a walking routes book all totally free, and helps me with my weight loss too. Double Bubble :D
