£15.70 in ebay sales. This is the worst I have ever done on ebay in 2 weeks. I had two small sales last week and non payers both. I had almost 30 items finishing yesterday and 3 sales.

I am going to have to reassess my ebay and see where I am going wrong.

I know right! I have never had so many non-paying bidders. I'm also listing fairly decent stuff at reasonable prices, but not selling much. I did reduce a bunch of prices last time round and sold a few bits (the final bids being more than my starting price last free listing). I've got the best postage prices I can - I take a lot of stuff to Collect+ or use a courier. Anything over £3 RM doesn't get sent RM. I also don't put on anything for packaging materials.

I'm thinking what I could do is to take measurements of clothes, change listing titles and look at reducing the prices again. But soon I may as well car boot the lot!

  • Sorry I have been so rubbish, work and real-life getting in the way of my moneysaving - how rude!

£12.04 cashback from bank to add plus 69p TCB.

Also a lovely £30 from parents for my birthday yesterday.

A few days off work now to get myself/house sorted and some sunshine would be nice too!

Really need to get myself motivated to do a car boot now the weather is improving but finding a free weekend is tricky.

Well done to everyone making profit on their car boot/ebay purchases - some incredible amounts of money being made!
  • A few bits & bobs to add today.

Worked my first shift on Saturday and did an hours overtime already! So £7 there.
    £8 FB sale
£29 eBay sales and awaiting payment on a few more items.

So £44 to add to total.

Off to photograph & prepare some listings ready to send live over the weekend.

Need to go through and make a note of the sites I use so will pop back with those later.
  • Woo hoo!!Just updated my siggy & I've hit target! First time I've ever got close!

Thanks for all your motivation, tips & ideas. :-)))

Pootled around the bootfair yesterday morning, didn't buy much other than about 4 or 5 50p clothes bits for the kids. But then just as we were leaving I stopped at one last stall who were just packing up, as I spotted some cool shorts so wanted to know what age they were. Were the right size for my youngest so asked what she wanted and she said I could have the whole bag they were on top of for £2. It was a huugeeee bag lol, and at the risk of my OH never speaking to me again I took it, as she said it was all that size.
Well, turns out about three quarters of it was actually a couple of sizes smaller :( Cue a very peed off OH as we are already drowning in smaller baby clothes that I need to finish selling.
However, hopefully he will be happy when he gets home from work and I tell him I've given away a carrier bag of the worst bits that were a bit crappy as they were old and discoloured, but then sold most of the rest for £10 :D Not a huge amount I know, but he was ready to just throw the whole bag in the bin yesterday! And there was still about a Tesco bags worth of bits that will fit DS2 so yay all round!!
Bit of overtime this afternoon to bump up my earnings for the month, and my lovely parents are having the kids, so I won't even be giving half of it away in childcare like normal.

    Oh, and HI CHRIS!!
Come and join in the challenge - lots more pennies to spoil that beautiful daughter of yours with when you see her :)

well done on your savings and cupboard challenge.

You can still put it on ebay but put it as collection only, no postage. Although have you looked at couriers? May work out cheaper than RM.

Where have you tried to sell it? FB? Gumtree? I know on my site someone is looking for the wii board only.

I think this weekend is free ebay but not sure - unfortunately I'm camping so will miss it :( I've had a look and tbh they're not doing great on there unless they have the box but I shall have another check. Having said that I have a 'credit' from ebay for about £12 which I can only use on selling fees which I didn't know about (added to total) so it's bonus money as far as I'm concerned. :D

I've put it on FB, Gumtree and also in our local 'Friday Ad' but still no joy. So it's just gathering dust.

Still poorly at the moment so taking a couple of days off work to fix myself (very unlike me but as I say I have camp at the weekend so can't risk not being well) and today have literally been in bed all day, however if I start to join the land of the living tomorrow I may sort through some bits in the loft and see what happens.

Like others I spend Saturday gardening so hopefully have lots of herbs, beans, peas etc ready for summer/autumn. Also had a kind colleague donate me two raspberry bushes :D

Yes it is free listing this weekend. Do you have a smartphone?

Schedule for 2 weeks time and on sat change the schedule using your phone.

On mine had people asking for board only as already had box.

Let me check mine and see if people are still looking.

Have you tried joining more selling sites in your area?
