  • A few more e-bay sales last night brings me up to £50.72.

I am still doing the survey sites but none of them are close to paying out yet.

Fingers crossed for some more Facebook sales today :-)

eBay is so incredibly slow at the moment. I'll be lucky if I sell 5 items from Easter's free listing weekend!

Anyway, I'm currently on £96.78 made up of £20 from yesterday's car boot sale, mystery shopping payments from last month and eBay.

This month all my challenge money has to go on petrol or paying off the credit card (it has interest, therefore I don't let it carry a balance) from buying petrol for this new job. May's pay day seems forever away!

However, in the spirit of productivity, I have just signed up to First Direct. I've got no problems with my current bank (Barclays), in fact I love their mobile app, but they've not given me £125 for nothing, so I may as well make the switch.

Going to attempt some Valued Opinions surveys later as I'm close to payout. Apart from that, nothing much on the horizon. Hoping for free listing on eBay this weekend, and I've got a sewing machine and netbook I really need to get listed on Facebook. £300 feels like an age away right now.

Cashed a cheque that I received last month from my old mobile company, but hadn't got round to paying it in yet :o - £13.32. Spent £5.10 worth of vouchers in Sainsburys, so put £5.10 in the savings. And spent £2.75 worth of vouchers in Marks and Spencers, so another £2.75 put in the savings :j Off the staring blocks!

    A'ernoon all!

£1.20 from an eBay sale first thing this morning, I had 8 coupons on their for £10 off that I was given and I sold them all within 6 hours of posting :)

£5 helping hand voucher at tesco today and I came home to a nice email asking if I would have students very short notice, 14-22nd so that will earn me £264 :D so now I really need to do a car boot on Sunday, that is the only Sunday this month I can do one and I'm desperate for spending money at the end of the month!

I'm not doing too well sold some items on eBay was going well until I realised that posting cosmetic items to Germany is prohibited.

I apologised to the buyer and issued a refund. Buyer is refusing to cancel transaction so I'm now £3 out of pocket as I still have to pay eBay and PayPal fees :(

I've signed up to Halifax. £60 to switch and £5 reward every month seemed a better deal. £120 for the first year and £60 every year after. I also bank with Barclays which I will continue do.

I plan on paying all my household bills from Halifax and transferring whatever's left into Barclays. To use for my daily spends to help better budget I hope :)

That sucks :( I have loads of stuff to list on ebay at the mo but scared as sold some stuff last month for over £100, buyer then said they hadn't read the description and wanted a refund.. which i initially wasn't going to do but this buyer was quite nasty and flooding my inbox. So agreed to refund if they posted the item back - they gave me a tracking number so I gave them a full refund including postage (nearly £10 by courier)... then received the parcel 0.95p postage... full of shredded paper!!!

So lost out on over £100... and was so upset at the time, but simultaneously happy that this person had stopped harrassing me and that I hadn't recieved bad feedback that I just threw it away and forgot about it... and then a week later got some horrible negative feedback from them to boot. And Ebay won't remove or revise it.

That's awful bet your careful to check everyone's feedback before selling anything now. Ebay is great most of the time but there are the odd few that spoil it.

Thought I'd mention the Germany issue on here as so many are selling on eBay.

Sooo I admit I'm a bit of a digital clutterbug. I'm constantly trying to declutter and organise in real life so a couple of nights ago I decided to try and do the same digitally. My email inbox was at 6,500+

Got it down to 2,000 emails before losing the will to live.

But in the meantime found two amazon credit voucher emails I had completely forgot about!! £41.99 and £42. Shame I don't currently need anything on amazon... but def going to add this to the monthly total!

I also found an email from pinecone research from 2011 inviting me to join, so i followed the link in the email, filled out some stuff and was told I'd hear back whether I was accepted. Seems a lot of faff for what I thought was just a survey website? But anyway today got a welcome email so yay :) hopefully bring in some more pennies.

I spent my lunch hour and loads of time today trying to fill out surveys on sites I've already joined but most of them 'screened me out' half way through or said 'no money but entered into a prize draw' :( I only managed 15p from everything I tried today! And even that survey took me about 10 minutes! Maybe this survey stuff isn't going to hold up to much...

and that swagbucks site? I can't work out how to make more than about 20SB per day? How do people make 100s?
