    Not so ! Suggest you read the "DD Guarantee" which ALL the banks and Building Societies have signed up to.

    With a DD, the "merchant" has to tell you, in advance, what he is going to take. IF he takes a different amount you claim the money back from your bank. To quote:

    "you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society."
