Barclaycard purchase protection

I have a personal barclaycard platinum credit card. am i protected for loss/theft of purchases. ive tried to research it but not sure,ive seen purchases protected up to £3000 but not sure if it applies to my card or not. any help much appreciated

Have you lost something or had it stolen?
If so contact the police might be your first priority: and if nothing has happened yet getting adequate insurance (by that I mean contents insurance) should be your second.

Their website suggests there are more than one Platinum credit card - we need to know the exact card to advise further or have you asked them?

Its says on the letters its a platinum contactless visa credit card. i have not lost or had any item stolen but if the card doesnt have the cover im looking for then i would look for some,hence my inquiry.ive just spoke to a helpful person on the barclaycard livechat and he pointed me to a link for purchase delivery protection which seems to cover purchases in the uk up to a value of £5000.

only on purchases fron uk retailers for first 90 days from purchase,does that sound about right ??
