Even many UK students struggle to get a CC.
The best is to ask the bank first that you have a current account with.
Next step is to try one of Bad-credit Credit Cards

If you are no a UK citizen or have been a resident here for a minimum of 3 years I would suggest nearly no chance of a mainstream lender touching you.
You might be able to get a secured card - google for these.0 -
