Not a single issue so far....while my ICS phone has the occasional tantrum.
Wi-Fi signal has been 100%,took the tablet out to a mate sat in his car on the road and it was still connected, about 15 metres from the router.
The only issue I've had is trying to connect to my Ascend G300 by usb.The tablet has usb host and when I plug in a memory stick it works fine but the phone doesn't get detected but I believe the issue is with the phone or maybe the adapter cable not the tablet
On the G300 under settings - developer options - make sure USB debugging is OFF, that can cause similar problems as its connecting in the wrong mode.0 -
I've tried every setting I can find sillygoose but not got it to detect yet.Would the phone being rooted make any difference ?0

Gonzo, you say BBC iplayer works on the Sumvision.....not on mine it doesn't,have you had to do anything in particular to make it work ?
Seems lots of people have problems getting iplayer to work on android.
Some of the things I'd look for when buying a cheap tablet......does it have UK support, does it have full Play Store compatibility, does it have a sd card slot for memory expansion,is the wi-fi stable......without these you're unlikely to be satisfied with your purchase no matter how high the specs on paper.
I agree with above, I nearly bought a Scroll tablet luckily discovered no Play market only some rubbish 3rd party version!
I have not had any problem getting BBC iplayer to work on any Android tablet, but I don't bother with the iplayer app as its not good software.
Install Opera Mobile browser, in settings - advanced - set the user agent to desktop.
Enter this address - https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/bigscreen/ and bookmark it or save to the speed dial. Works well for me, content can be played in a preview window or full screen, even with quality set to high I don't get problems (but this more to with internet connection speed than tablet speed anyway)
Final trick, when you have address up in Opera as above, the bookmark function (the gold star at the end of the address bar) has an option to 'add to home screen' use this and create an icon on your homescreen, this is now as quick and easy to start iplayer as the actual app is!
(The desktop link may try to open in the default browser, does not for me as Opera is set as my default anyway, it is the best!)0 -

Regarding iplayer, yes I believe it works fine in a browser it's just the app that's a pile of doo-doo
In chrome the resolution is wrong, too big for the screen0 -

It has to be cabling, possibly transmit/receive lines need to crossover as using two cables (otg and phone cables) causes double crossing.
My tablet works with memory sticks, but not G300 or another ZTE Android phone, tablet says damaged usb device.
Both phones work with PC.
I think it needs some sort of direct tablet to phone cable, in my case micro usb at both ends.0 -
same here but after a quick google search I don't think such a cable exists0
