my teenager is going to soon start applying to go to Uni but they have grave concerns about debt. We dont have loads of money and know courses are very expensive, Plus accomodation. Can you give us any ideas on what 1 year would cost in all with everything. Any tips on how to reduce the amount of debt. They are currently thinking of doing an apprentiship so they wont get into so much debt. im worried if they are there for 4 years its going to be 50k
Things will get better day by day.

Money will not be an issue. They'll be provided with loans/grants based on your household income. Repaying the loans isn't a problem either, they'd only repay (very manageable payments) when earning over £21,000.
