Hi all,
I am starting the B120 course with the OU on 6th April and the module website opens tomorrow!
Has anyone done this course who may be able to give me some tips and/or advice on this course?
Thanks in advance:)

Hi Kerry, I am on the same course as you. Having a nightmare at the moment with student finance so unable to browse the student chat rooms at leisure till I get my new computer. Soon as I do ill come and say hi :j0

If this is your first OU course, you'll find there usually isn't much of a workload in the first few weeks of the course (I didn't do B120, but did B200 and B202), designed so you can settle in the routine of self-studying.
It's probably wise to use this time to try and get a couple of weeks ahead of schedule, so if you were to fall behind at some point during the course, you should still be on schedule.
It's very difficult to catch up, especially if you've got a busy lifestyle if you do fall behind, especially studying and writing up TMAs.0 -
Hello, there's a fair few of us in the same B120 boat-there's a Facebook group to vent and worry

Hi there,
I completed B120 a couple of years ago (seems like yesterday!).
Firstly, read the TMA's before starting the book, so you have focused learning and it stands you in really good stead for other courses. And leave plenty of time for proofing assignments, as well as reading the Harvard referencing guide - indispensable!
Apart from that, just try and not fall behind, I try and get in front whenever I can - you never know when life trips up your study schedule.
Good luck, and just do your best - it was a 40 mark average TMA pass in 2011, plus a 40 in your EMA (end of module assignment). Might have changed but its achieveable
