    What prove their original figue they gave me was wrong, as they have admitted that already?

    The loan will be repaid in a year anyway so no I'm not going to make £181 of interest from £900 in that time.

    Even if the person told you the wrong figure I imagine you will still have to pay if thats what is owed.

    If you owe 1800, you owe 1800. Why don't you have last year's annual statement? You can then work out how much you have paid since the last relevant payment and work out the balance.
