Parking Eye - Parking Charge Notice

I have recieved a Parking charge Notice from ParkingEye car Park Management, I'm sure I have read on here many similar tales and the advice is always to ignore it, it is a scam. This is in Scotland if it make a difference.
I parked in Aldi's carpark, and instead of getting back in my car driving 500m I walked the 200 metres round the corner to Sainsburys. Letter says max stay is 1 hour 30 mins, and I was parked for 2 hours 4 mins, should i do anything?
Can I just ignore this request and any further requests / debt collector type letters? Or do I complain / tell them its a scam and I'm not paying?

It is different in Scotland, so ignore the whole scam including the letters. We have never heard of PE taking anyone to Court in Scotland and there's no appeals system and no registered keeper liability either.
So PE still have to know who was driving with your case - don't tell them. Nothing will happen except the usual letters shown in the PPC letter chains thread near the top of the forum. Play snap with the letters and laugh at them. Spread the word about this scam!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for that, will upload the letter when I get it scanned.
Is it worth complaining to the store? Or do I just shut up and ignore the letters, I shall take a look at the signs next time, they aren't that clearly displayed from recollection.0 -
I would complain to Aldi as it's you as their customer who have been threatened. Mention that it will put you off ever shopping there again if the PCN isn't cancelled. No need to mention going to Sainsburys unless they have a cash machine there but not at Aldi so obviously you went to get money to spend in Aldi.0

Thanks Nigelbb, indeed Sainsburys do have a cash machine and aldi's don't.0
