BT installation complete but not working

Apologies for the double post but I think I hijacked someone elses thread previously. BT were supposed to install a working phone line and broadband on 18th March. I got the emails saying it was done but neither was working.
Had to ask for engineer to call. Appointment last thursday, result ! Line working.

Lost dial tone and Broadband on Saturday. Went online and re-opened call. Have not heard anything from BT, so I called this morning. Told that the fault is in my house, which it is not. I plugged a phone into the engineers test sock and no dial tone.

I am getting really fed up with this, its disgracefule for a new install. BT appear to have no interest in getting the line working. This is not a good way to treat a new customer. I'm considering telling them that they are in breach of contract and getting my PAC code to go elsewhere.

If anyone from BT really does read this forum, please can you help get this sorted? I did contact you directly but no response yet.

Thanks,
Alan

It failed on Saturday. This is the first working day since then-BT OR typically take 5 working days to repair a line fault-so you are expecting rather too much. Given the current weather, that time may well be extended
No, they are not in breach of contract at all, as there s no SLA on a residential contract, and so no guarantee of continuous service or a minimum response time All you are entitled to is a credit for the downtime, which will be applied if you request it.
PS: a PAC is for a mobile, you'd be looking for a MAC to move your broadband.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
