conference calls - ad hoc/payg services

I have the need to set up a conference call for people in different parts of the country. The type where you give them a number to dial at a particular time and they can all talk together.

Although there may be half or dozen conference calls in the project its not something that I will need a 12 month subscription to so has anyone used any payg or ad-hoc services for this and found them OK?

I've used powwow quite a few times and it worked OK every time. The rates aren't extortionate either. It says on the website that its typically 4.3p a minute.
