Hi Folks
Advice needed asap please.
Am just about to buy a policy from these guys but have read some really naff reviews but its seems to be based around gadget insurance mainly etc. I know insurance don't like paying up and will try anything to get out of it etc., but I really need this insurance asap as I travel on Saturday and what with the weather etc., the sooner the better!
Anybody have any experience with this company on any level for cancelled/delayed flights/medical etc??
I do have pre-existing medical conditions and they have been informed, it did pump up the premium a bit and I have gone for the top (black) cover so am talking nearly £200 for annual cover for 3 people which sounds pretty good, but not if they don't cover you for anything... any feedback appreciated...

Yes I made a claim following travel delays and lost baggage on USA holiday.they paid up albeit like all other companies nowhere near the value of my losses.this has always been my experience of insurance companies that it is always a lose lose situation.it's only big thing s like severe illness abroad I suppose where they may eeae the pain!also watch out for their automatic renewal whereby they billed my card and only notified me by email after even though I didn't intend to renew. Again many operate this way so no worse than most! the main thing is getting insurance that covers what you require rather than the blanket policy's most of us buy which cover not very much unless you die or lose a limb and then who gives a monkeys!0

Is it really worth purchasing?
If anything goes wrong with the scheduled flights you have to claim from the airline anyway etc., and if you need medical input you need your EHIC cards?
Is it money for nothing? We are the only ones who make life difficult!

Worrying. Yes you do need travel insurance. The EHIC card will not cover you to fly home with medical assistance if required. And that's just the start.
Edited to add - Read ALL of the policy wording, digest and understand it. That way you should have less problems if a claim should arise.0 -
I just make sure I'm covered for major health issues while abroad and exclude the gadget/cash/baggage sections where possible to keep costs down and as you say, they never pay out much/anything on those sections anyway. Check what health assistance is provided in an emergency and who provides it; that is what is important.0
