At the start of april, the points awarded per spend has changed. You only get 4 points per FULL pound spend (spend 99p you dont get any points) a bit like tesco does.

In the earlier thread by redfox, the person didn't receive a 5 pound voucher when 10 pound was spent. you dont get these vouchers when you spend your points, only when using "proper" methods of payment including boots vouchers

I tried to use mine this morning but it wouldn't go through. Gutted as Boots only posted it to me this week. The SA wanted to go and get the No. 7 SA but I didn't want her examining my purchases. She looks rather ferocious. That and she might have spotted all my freebies.

The points system did change recently so that you now get 4 points for each pound spent. i.e. a 99p spend gets you no points, but a £1 spend gets you 4 points, for a £1.99 spend you still get 4 points, but for £2 you get 8 points (I think thats right anyway!!).
So surely you should have got 20 points for the first shop and 12 for the second...plus your 100 extra points????
I think when you use an 'xxx points when you buy....' voucher you ONLY get those points, not the standard ones on top. I bought a memory card a few weeks ago for £4.99 with the 500pts voucher and didn't buy anything else, and I earned 500pts exactly.

    Hi all,

Went to Boots of course after work. Returned a couple of items. Got a Boots mag and brought 2 x 1/2 price baby clothes for £7.50. Paid with points. DH will give me the money back as I offered to buy him a gift for his aunts baby.

Picked up a couple of different tiny sachets of Olay moisturiser they had wrapped in a small leaflet.

    2nd Boots

Brought 1 x Bodyform maxi reduced to 75p, used 100 points voucher from AC machine I printed off yesterday (which was lucky as I don't normally do that). Then used another 172 of my precious points on a large bottle of reduced head & shoulders shampoo which I gave my lovely mum.

    3rd Boots

    Didn't get anything.

Can't wait until tomorrow. Going Bootsing again. :T :rotfl:
    Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
    Boots points: £0.28
    Pigsback points: 715 (4 xBoots£10 & 1 xPizzaHut£10, 2 x £10 clothing vouchers)
    Mutual points: 3417 (redeemed 8250)
    Rpoints:redeemed 28925 points)Cashbag:£8.91(£20)

Just make me jealous- would somebody please describe the EA set: as NONE of the ACM machines here work (which probably means there is not a single ACM in South Wales until Cardiff!!!!) and even when they were working nobody I had spoken to had had the voucher.
I was in Quadrent Boots last week and must have been lucky as upstairs machine was working but not one downstairs and got the freebie. Both machines in the Bridgend store were working today-had to check them out as l was passing.they have the EA sets so might be worth a trip!clearance shelves are pretty dire.
:j this money saving is such fun:T
