I put my card in the machine to get points voucher - hopefully.
select purchase over £16.50 - ish
then pay - can I use the points on my card after it has been swiped for extra points like you can in WHSmith?
Am I missing any tricks? Not sure what the parenting £5 coupon is but guess it is in a magazine? Boots in next door to WHSmith in my town so I can go in there first.
Thanks in advance
Dusty
currently in the machine there is an extra points voucher for 500 points when you spend 20.00 on no7 so it might be worth you spending a cuople of pounds more than your 16.50
if you use an extra points voucher then you have to pay with cash
the parenting 5.00 voucher is posted to you when you join the parenting club along with a load of other voucher and isnt found in the back of the magazine but is worth picking up a magazine as these do have some vouchers in the backIf you want the rainbow you have to go through the rain.

thanks might be a new camera instead, though it is tempting to save them up so its looks really impressive, or my other plan was to go in the jan sales buy loads and watch the sa's face and it comes to 200.00 odd and then smile and say can i pay with points for that :TIf you want the rainbow you have to go through the rain.

i think there is someone floating around on MSE with about £700 worth on their card - i can remember seeing their total and nearly having heart attack - i go into a panic now when i go into town as i would never carry around 241 of cash on me which is effectively what i'm doing with the card in my bag!:hello:  It's official I'm addicted to Boots - the total on my Advantage Card has gone over £300  :hello:0 -

Your pending points* balance is -8378. These points aren't included in the balance shown above.
How can I have a negative pending points balance?
Are Boots now fining in AC points?
What to do?!! :huh:0 -

Thats my thinking exactly!!
I've been aiming for £400 for that reason.0 -
I would calm down cupcake it doesnt mean anything I have had -2370 on my account for 6 months and it doesnt affect my card.At first I paniced like you but then realised its just a boots blip .I spoke to a lovely supervisor a while ago and he says some accounts show this but they arent sure how.My theory is maybe it is something to do with refunds or items retrurned or even a replacement card .But boots wont be grabbing you points off you.If you check in store your card will be working fine and show the points you have.It will probably be on your account for life but as long as you have points in the credit section I wouldnt bother.
Its not one of the boots blips I like0 -
Thanks for the help - my Tesco baby was due on the 31st May - thankfully it has not appeared yet. But I feel ready for another pregnancy now.
Re the points and on line orders - when I ordered online - only did it once my points were not added until I put the card in the machine in store - can't remember if I had to do anything else - this is not why it is showing minus is it? Could it be points pending? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

700  i think we need to find her and see what she is going to buy with them :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
i do worry about losing my card though like you i dont carry around much cash and if i lose it there is nothing stopping anyone else using it if i dont realise it has gone
i guess she would be sorted if she had a baby, im fairly tempted to save up my points for my next one as the big store where mum lives sells buggies, cots everythingIf you want the rainbow you have to go through the rain.
