Had a semi bad shop in Boots today.

Wanted to take 2 things back as 1 item I didn't want and the other gave me a rash, didn't think I would have any problems with either one of them as just wanted to exchange for something else.

Got to Boots and asked young Sa if it was ok to exchange the cream that had given me a rash, for something else, she said no!

Mightily shocked and several minutes later and several discussions later also lol, she passed me onto the N07 lady who she said would deal with it.

She said it was store policy not to refund or exchange on cosmetics/creams and I told her I had been told by CS at Boots that it was fine. ( made that bit up but I imagined that was what they would have said if I had actually asked CS!)

After quite a long time ( 10 minutes etc) the N07 lady said I could have an exchange but only for half the price of what they were actually worth!

I was fuming by then as although I think I originally bought them with my points at full price, it would have been the same for someone who HAD paid full price for them with cash which in my opinion is wrong.

I couldn't budge her so I rang CS while I was in the store using all my credit up and after hanging ages on the phone, CS agreed with the SA :eek:

I was mortified!
I really thought they would agree with me as by this time I was quite upset and they noticed on the phone, you always think you can ring Cs as a last resort and they will make the store do the right thing but no!
I shall be much more wary next time (if there is one) of threatening to ring CS while in a store, it was shaming.

By this time I was quite upset and felt humiliated but I let her do the exchange at half price and it came to £16 odd to pay after the refunds had come off. I mentioned to her it seemed a bit expensive bearing in mind I had brought things back and she had a quick glance at my receipt and said " oh, your refunds haven't come off, I'll do them again for you"

Which she proceeded to do, meanwhile I had a feeling she had gotten it wrong someohow and was dying to look at the receipt but she had hold of it while she refunded me the £16.

Eventually got out of the shop with three bags of stuff and minus the returned items and had a look at the receipt...

She had already taken the half price refund off! :j :T

So in the end, after she gave me another £16 back, I DID get a full price refund:rotfl:

So alls well that ends well

P.s one benefit of this was that she felt sorry for me and scanned all the vouchers I passed her without comment, so got the Diareze for free + 100 points and used the £3 Olay against some wipes when it should have been used on the x7 mask.

(I also bagged a full size Boots water filter with free cartridge for £2 as well!)

I have two boots accounts, one in my name and one in the OH. OH has just received a email stating that they noticed the advantage card was used on two accounts so it has been removed from both accounts until we decide which one to use it on!

When I put my card in the machine today, I got given £22.99 in points for online orders that have been cancelled!

Wonder if I will get to keep them?

Yes I got the same thing it says
"We've noticed that your Advantage Card number is currently registered in more than one Boots.com account. Because of changes that we've had to make to Boots.com, you'll no longer be able to register your card in more than one account. For example, if you have registered for Boots.com using your work e-mail address and your home e-mail address, you will only be able to use your Advantage Card in one of those accounts."

They are just getting too petty nowadays looks like a lot of policy changes are going on at the moment with this and some accounts cancelled etc its looking like gestapoboots.Want next NO glitches :eek:

Thanks, I didn't realise the No7 was 3 for 2, does this count for the p&p too, would I 2 other items and a p&p on 3 for 2.

:rotfl: Either that or he's REALLY bored. Been doing this for 6 months now, SIX! If I were staking the place out to steal I would've thought I'd have done it by now! :rotfl:
