Lots of money at stake here, ran by very nasty people.
I'd keep my nose out, its not your place to detect fraud or take risks with your own safety.
Are you for real for goddess sake, This is fraud mine and many millions of other peoples taxes going up the swanny.

But wise good men also protect themselves - so do it anonymously (don't use your own phone or computer) and don't go round telling other people what you've done.0 -
Are you 100% sure they are council owned flats? The only way he could get lots of them is to get people to apply for them, then they will have to go through the process of bidding or other rigorous procedures of getting accepted, then if they are lucky enough to be accepted they will have to move out again to let them be rented to the dubious tenants.
I guess he could bribe people to move out of their homes, but he would have to get them somewhere else to live first, maybe pay the rent for them, I dunno, whatever you will have to make sure you have your facts 100% right.0 -
well done for wanting to report it, but if this is a organised ring do yourself a favour and delete your post, the amount of information you have put on here about how you know it would make it obvious to those involved who you are, and you are risking your own safety leaving this on here . its best to keep quiet in public and report in confidence to keep yourself safe.0

Your motives seem to be that the people involved aren't British and you want revenge on your ex, neither of which are in any way laudable.
However, I do agree that something needs to be done about these scams in SH, just as something needs to be done about evicting people with considerable arrears.
This has nothing to do with revenge against an ex and I would shop them nomatter what nationality they were , it is illegal , it is robbing others with genuine entitlement of a home and to be given the right to remain should mean you are some sort of asset to the country - Not downright ripping it off in a big way!!
Just because an ex is involved now doesn't suddenly make it a revenge campaign as I would shop the ringleader anyway , like I said wherever he came from , that is not the point , the point is he is in the UK whether legally or not that is not the issue as even if a British citizen will full right to remain in the UK was doing it I would shop them to get those flats into the right hands not in the hands of those illegally making money out of them & like I said it is not just one or two flats but a whole load of them with a team on board to help with the 'work'
And you say ''God laughs'' but only God can question or judge my motives , not God in a big disguise!0 -
If you report any kind of housing benefit fraud, it can be done so online or I assume there is a helpline number, you wouldnt need to give your name, address or any other details.
In the time you've spent debating it, you could have reported it and moved on. Because it does look from the outside looking in that you need to move on and cut all ties with anyone involved in this issue, even tenuously. Either report or dont report, but dont waste any more valuable time getting upset about it.0 -

If they have no right to remain, then they are not going to be British, are they?
I agree that if they are illegally obtaining council housing, whoever they are, they should be evicted and prosecuted and, if they have no right to remain, deported.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
If everyone lived in fear then nothing would be reported .... It takes just one person to stand up for what is right for the sake of the whole community and if everyone turned a blind eye nothing would ever be done
There is already the risk that they would guess it was me without any proof but that is not going to stop me
Yes it makes the situation more difficult and stressful but I just want justice to be done in this case as I am aware of it
I think he 'buys' the flat off them and they go to live elsewhere of their own accord for the one off payment , but it is up to the council to investigate the situation , not me , but I know he is not the legal 'owner' or 'landlord' of the flats and paying a mortgage on them and the tenants do not pay him into his bank , it is cash on collection only
They boast about how much money they have but if you are going to boast about money and what you are buying with it then get it by doing something respectful and is of benefit to society :T
Plus I do love this country and hate to see it being ripped off by anyone0 -

Yeah - I have a few other things going on in my life right now which need my attention , but am on the way to doing this once have sorted the other things out
Am only human and have limitations as to how many things I can sort out all at once but it is on my mind as well as all the other things I have to do for myself this week
You are right though - I will feel better once it is done & left with those whose job it is to get on with it
( Which will indeed be very soon! )
P.S It is the ones who are doing wrong who should be watching their backs and living in fear and am glad the authorities will take whatever action they deem neccessary and get at least some of those flats back where they belong & if that was your or your families flat you would be very pleased!!
My reward will be thinking about the possible kiddies running around their new flat all happy & with their own room :-) xxx0
