I would say it covers you until 25th March.

My doctor put '4 weeks' on my sicknotes and this was classed as 28 days. However, the DWP do send you a letter some days before the existing sicknote expires with a reply-paid envelope for the new one to be sent. So in essence I would say a 1 month sicknote expires at midnight the day before on the following month (not sure how this would work on say 31st Jan start, maybe expires 28th Feb regardless I guess) and a 4 week sicknote expires after 28 days.

I have never been sent a reminder and pre paid envelope for the fit note for my daughter!! I have had to send it myself to the address on the claim letter. Her last one was for 3 months and will hopefully be the last, as long as the job centre input the recommendations from ATOS by then.
