I'm off to Liverpool at the weekend, staying down near Albert Dock. I will have my car with me but would prefer not to use it in the evenings so a walk/short taxi ride away. Where would you recommend we eat? We like most cuisines (Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai etc) and while I don't mind a bit of buzz/atmosphere I do like to be able to chat with friends.
And, I'll have a bit of spare time one afternoon. Where would be good for a trip out especially as weather is unlikely to be spring like?:(
TIA

Kimos on Mount Pleasant is a Egyptian place which is.very nice and it isn't a suited and booted place, but a place to relax with friends.
I also like Uncle Sams on Bold St which is American cuisine, and the spare ribs are to die for as they fall off the bone.
There's Gusto the Italian at the Albert Dock in the Edward Pavilion, by the museum,
What's Cooking at the Albert dock too is nice.
There's a Red Hot World Buffet in Liverpool One. This serves all kinds of food, but u need to book a table.just passing through.... Nothing to see....0 -
For trip out, you could visit the Williamson Tunnels.just passing through.... Nothing to see....0

Another one for Willamson Tunnels. Visited these on a Heritage open day and they are fascinating.
For eating we recently went to Bistro Pierre (French)
http://www.bistropierre.com/
There are two others Bistro Franc and Bistro Jacques all do a slightly different menu so worth looking on the website first
We had the Pre Theatre menu and thought it good value.0 -
I would recommend a visit to the Museum of Liverpool next to the Albert Dock. There are so many resturants in the City Centre all within walking distance of the Albert Dock have a look at this website. http://www.sugarvine.com/liverpool:hello: N:hello:A :hello:N :hello:A :hello:M :hello:A :hello:G :hello:S :hello:0
