ok, re the monitor, by powersaving do you mean it is switching off because I am not using it as in hibernating ? but I am still using it when it switches off0

a wiggle of the mouse should stop it powersaving, but if the lead is loose, then the monitor may also powersave, when you remove the lead at one end, does the monitor show any message?!!

wiggle of the mouse does absolutely nothing..
ok, so I will take out one of the leads to the monitor and see if it gives a message, if I am not back within a few moments it has gone off.
If it does go off I will try the other monitor.....dont go away lol

Well s expected it wenht off again. I have tried the other monitor and that works perfectly so monitor is what's faulty. Just using a tablet at moment . New monitor ordered and should b here early next week

if the monitor has a menu system, you've could try to set it to factory defaults.!!
