CAB was useless... the guy seemed baffled by my agreement, he had to look up on internet.. didnt tell me anything that you guys had already told me in actual fact gave me less info.. so im in middle of copying and writing my own letter..but have a couple questions again hope thats ok..

back at post 3. deannatrois. said that its not normal to pay a damage bond and deposit.. so can i ask for 630 to come back to me?
if not can i INSIST that all of the 1260 goes into a scheme?

also he said part of the deposit would be paid back in 3 months, AFTER i leave,, someone said he cant do that. can i say that its illegal to keep it that long? long as i leave the property in good condition how quick legally should i get the deposit back? thats if he doesnt have to put the whole 1260 in a scheme i guess..

Im going to do the two letter thing.. if that isnt legal enough and i eventually lose my money i will just knock him out.. Im joking...
im actual kinda scared.. so what do i do if when he gets the letters, he comes knocking at the door trying to fob me off?

thanks again for all your help and sorry if im being a pain..

forgot to say the flat is owned by the name he signed, but i know this is not his name.. its states nowhere that he is representing anyone isnt that forgery?

    Hi

Lets take this one step at a time.

    The deposit is not protected.

You signed an inventory that is a fiction. That is not worrying.

Go round the house with the inventory as advised previously and photgraph every item with a newspaper with todays date as advised. Try to film things like the drawerws that fall apart.

Now list the entire lot and write a revised inventory, listing all the defects. Send two copies of that to the LL at the address for serving of notices. Keep one copy for yourself with the photos and film/video.

Do not sign anything that the LL brings to the house. Return all mail to the sender as gone away.

    Then breath.

The start the proceedings to claim three times your deposit back from the LL.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

I think ive said before that i have asked my LL twice now about the deposit scheme, the first time i asked he said he had given me paper work, but he would get me a copy, which he never did, i asked again sunday "just gone"
Ive since checked myself nothing comes up about it being protected, i also got an email that states with info given nothing was found..

I just got this message from him on FB...

"Seen your email about insurance thing and then couldnt find it again lol.... I really need a new laptop this is doing my head in....
The paperwork had a leafeat in, it was half the size of A4 piece of paper and u did sign it and there was 2 copys of everything, I can ask for a copy, but they do have upto 30 days to sort anything out, but on a plus side (saves 12 pound letter charge from them) the deposit will be returnded soon as your tenacny is only 3 months, and this what was put on form when sent it off, but as you are looking for a longer tenancy and im happy to extend your tenacy, I will re-issue the deposit as new again from ur new tenancy and then can drop off the new pack to you....
I will put a new tenancy extended letter in ur letterbox on 2nd along with the company il use ,
if you could read and sign this and get it back to me (il put in return envlope) and then new pack will be sortd again.
Il extend your tenacy to 9 months and futher ones can be added, also as I said there is no rent increase etc."

I feel like im being fobbed off.. i dont know what to do now, do i wait to see if he puts it in a scheme this time around?

when i first looked at place he new i was looking for a long let.. its only just recently ive changed my mind..
