Info needed to transfer balance

I am wanting to transfer some of my balances as some of them are coming out of the 0% period and also, if you've seen my earlier post, I have a lot of cards so want to combine them so that I don't have quite as many thus making payments more straightforward.

I will be transferring balances to Nationwide and Natwest. What I want to know is what info do they need to be able to transfer balances? i know some companies need card number and expiry date but as I don't use the cards I cut them up to avoid temptation. Am now worried that I will not be able to transfer balances as I don't have expiry dates. I know I could get replacement cards if necessary but would rather not have to do this. If a company usually needs expiry dates can they do it without if you don't have it?
All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.
