PVRs, IMHO, are only useful if they are proper twin tuner. You reliable choices are the Topfield (£270), Humax (£199) or the cheapy Asda (£80) which you can upgrade the firmware on.0 -
HUMAX PVR-8000T seems a nice unit has anyone had one.0

Humax and topfield are good makes as above.
Do you really need one with a twin tuner? I can only record one thing at a time on mine (tvonics 150) and its fine. Only thing that could get annoying is two programs on at once you wish to record when you are out (not watch one and record the other) or timeshifting and a recording starting....0 -
Have a look over at the Digital Spy Forums, they have a whole sub section about pvr's. Very good info.justlooking wrote: »HUMAX PVR-8000T seems a nice unit has anyone had one.0 -

Indeed, which I find happens quite a lot (since with Freeview your also talking about recording 'radio' programmes). The Humax is excellent, you can be recording two programmes while watching a third (on a shared mux).
The next generation of devices will be quad-tuner!0 -
