    That is exactly why they follow up with the question, do you actually owe them the money. Not only did Barclays act this way with me, Natwest did exactly the same thing too.

    It doesnt matter if you owe them or not - if you havent authorised the transaction then it must be reversed - I wouldn't even answer that question if asked.

    Well what should happen in practice and what does happen in reality is obviously totally different then. I was quite firm on both occasions with both banks that the transaction was not agreed and both banks still refused to budge in any way whatsoever and said that I had to complain to the PDL company and get them to reverse it rather than speaking to the bank. Clearly the PDL companies would never have any intentions of reversing a transaction as they have absolutley no regard to caring if you can feed yourself or not this month.
