Whenever I turn on my computer I get the message QSApoApi64.dll is missing. Try reinstalling the programme. I've googled it and it said somewhere that SuperAntiSpyware blocked it thinking it was a Trojan and I can't unblock it as it was ages ago. Does anyone know where I can download the right programme from as I haven't got a clue?

I don't know if this is related but now my CDDVDW(SH222A) player isn't working. It says the configuration is incomplete.. I've searched for an older copy of the software and have found a few but don't know which (if any) I should use.

Can anyone help?

It may have something to do with your on-board audio. Can you identify your motherboard make and model?

    Hi Tanglefoot.

I think this is it - Gigabyte Technology G41MT52P but I looked on the VIA site and can't find it (because I don't know what I'm looking for - sorry).

My cd player shows ! in a yellow triangle and under device status it says - Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19) but when I update it, it says its ok but it's not.

P.S. I do have the Gigabyte Utility DVD but of course it won't play.

Are you saying SAS removed it?

Open SAS > Manage quarantine. Is the file present there - are you able to restore the file from there?

No, sorry, it was a while ago and so I can't go that far back.. My fault, I should have dealt with it when the pop up first appeared, but I didn't cause I hoped it was just go away!!!:):)

    Try looking here for GA-G41MT-S2P.

Edit: I think this is the one you're after. The other has a Realtek chip on it.

I'm just finishing backing up before I do it, just in case!
