Surely you can judge the price by comparing to the prices charged at other websites or at other photographic stores...?

Google "Canon 600D price UK" or similar terms.

It's a reasonable price, but the second lens (75-300mm) isn't really very good. What sort of photography do you want to? There's isn't much difference between the 550d and 600d - the most stand out feature is the 600d has a fold out screen. If you want to do macro photography that can be a useful feature.
If you don't mind refurbs, the official Canon outlet has the 600d for £379 and the 550d for £329 - both with the 18-55mm kit lens. I would suggest getting one of those and putting the difference towards a better telephoto lense than the 75-300mm.

I think he is just criticising the fact that you can compare the price yourself..... but I realise that nowadays so many people just need a bit of reassurance !!

Googler, this is a chat forum. I've posted loads of questions over the years that I could have just googled. Sometimes it's good to get different angles and opinions and, well, just chat. Also, the OP has brought a useful offer to our attention. Don't be such a misery.
Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc

if it's fulfilled by Ask Direct, they are currently showing OOS for the 550D. How are they going to fulfill several hundred?
