Am I paying too much?

That is a 'how long is a piece of string' question.
Do you live in a 1 bed flat or a 12 bed mansion?
Are you in all day or out at work?
£178 for that period is approx £120 a month which is below the average UK cost for mid-winter.0 -
3 bedroom house, 2 people currently living in the house, during the day out at work, home after 5.0

How is the property heated and hot watered? If it's gas CH and DHW, and the bill is based on actual usage/readings, not estimated. then as Cardew says, your bill is very low for a (cold) winter quarter.
Once the heating goes off after Easter (we hope!), your consumption will plummet.
As to whether you are paying too much, a quick check on a comp site armed with your annual kWh figures will find you the cheapest tariff. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
To give you a comparison I am a two bed detached bungalow and pay £140 a month for both gas and electric0

I am currently under the Energy (Gas & Electricity) tariff for British Gas. I pay it quarterly and currently have to pay £178.18 for
Period: 15 Jan to 01 Mar 2013
Does the price seem about right or am I paying too much?
