Hey there. I'm a student (which is enough said for the most part of this thread) and am appearing in a dvd on monday.
Am required to wear a black shirt. Which I have, full of creases.
So... any good nice easy ways to iron the creases out though not posessing any type of iron haha
Thanks ^-^

Do you know anyone who could lend you an iron?
If not, I would wash the shirt again. Once washed, shake it out and immediately hang it on a coat hanger and allow it to drip dry. That should get rid of most of the creases.

Fold shirt carefully and place under your mattress/pile of heavy books/files overnight.
Wash shirt, shake out and hang on hanger to dry.
Borrow iron from someone next door.
Borrow ready ironed shirt from someone.
The list goes on.........................................;)0 -
YOU MUST know someone with an iron!!! Sainsburys/tescos sell them for a fiver. Maybe you and other students could have a whip round. Does your college have a drama dept. , art dept they will have an iron.
If you can't manage to beg steal or borrow, wash and drip dry or hang in a steamy bath room.0 -
As for knowing someone with an iron, i'm a student in Stafford.. I know no-one that isn't a student that lives around here so no, I know no one.
As for a fiver for an iron, yes I know its only a fiver, but it will only be used once? Plus when I move house in 3 weeks there's one at my new house in leeds so dont really want to just throw money away
Going to wash and drip dry tomorrow early mornin.. if its not crease free by 3pm, guess it'll be a trip to asda haha!
Thanks all[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Depends what the shirt is made of? Try making it damp, splash water on it and roll it up. Wait 5 minutues hang on hanger and presuming you have a hairdryer put on hot heat and smooth creases out.
ALternatively have a hot bath or shower and hang shirt up in the steam and smooth creases out by hand or use the bottom of a CLEAN pan.
Hope they work for you!
Roll with the creases!!

If it still a bit creasy, and you have a hair dryer, put it on, strech it out from your body and blast hot air onto the stretched bit - heating the crease out! (Health and safety bit = not too close, etc etc)... I'm a student who actually has an iron, but am far to lazy to use it...Returning MoneySaver, now furiously saving for a house deposit...0
